Abstract

Self-Storage can be one of the new and profitable options for redevelopment of the «gray belt» of St. Petersburg. The purpose of the study was to estimate the current situation with the “gray belt” of St. Petersburg and the demands of the self-storage market. The following methods were desk research of the market. As a result, the current situation of the «gray belt» of St. Petersburg was described. The market attractiveness of different types of redevelopment of industrial territories (business centers, shopping malls and hotels) was analyzed. The potential of the self-storage market in St. Petersburg was studied and the demands of the market players for the location of objects were determined.
