Our implementation employs Red-Black Gauss-Seidel relaxation running on inexpensive Graphics Processing Units (GPUs) programmed with Nvidia's CUDA framework. We are able to achieve a 20X speedup over a multithreaded implementation running on a quadcore CPU.
