Medical Analysis by Dr. Tom McHugh

Abstract

Dr. McHugh prepares several memos analyzing the impact of prescribed drugs, the likely causes of injury, where the prosecution medical evidence might be challenged, and Peppy’s and Bill’s mental state. Among the documents he prepares for the defense are: 1. “Qualification of Charles T. McHugh” 2. “Statement of Personality Assessment of Bill Haywood Kinsey” 3. “Statement of Personal Relationship with Mr. & Mrs. Kinsey” 4. “Evaluation of Drugs—Relation to Unconscious Episode” 5. “Site of Accident—Relation to Injuries” 6. “Fractures—Cause and Effect—Intra-cranial Bleeding” Much of the analysis focuses on the various drugs peppy was taking and the likelihood they could lead to a lapse into unconsciousness. These memos are analyzed and will be crucial to the developing defense trial strategy.
