Design and Implementation on Pen-Based E-Form Development Tool for End-User

Abstract

Pen-based e-form is a style of office software in the era of Post-WIMP interface. It is complicate and difficult to utilize the existing development tool to implement pen-based user interface, so that pen-based e-form only can be designed and implemented by the professional developers, which make it is difficult for the pen-based e-form software to adapt to the changing user requirements. Given the end-user the ability for developing pen-based e-form independently is a good way to solve this problem. Based on the natural characteristics of the e-form and business rule, and aiming at help end user develop pen-based e-form, the paper systemically researches the design and implementation of the pen-based e-form development tool, and describes the major components of the tool. Finally, we introduce the implementation of the end-user development tools, and offer an example about pen-based e-form software development.
