This paper proposes a fault detection technique for pole to pole fault for AC-DC hybrid power network model. The proposed fault detection technique consists of a protection algorithm using the rate of change of current and the sum of the squares of the absolute value of the detail coefficient of the Discrete Wavelet Transform. Abstract
