Abstract

Each wireless technology now used is optimized just for some particular applications and environments. However, the next generation wireless networks coexisting with fiber-optic based broadband communication networks will be required to operate over a wide range of cell size (from picocell to massive satellite cell) and offer multimedia services where each service may have a unique rate.
