Abstract

Mr. J. M. Weatherby is at present attached to the African Studies Programme at Makerere University. In this paper he gives an account of the struggles of the pastoral and semi-pastoral tribes in the Western Highlands, mainly the Masai and Kalenjin-speaking peoples.
