The proposed technique has been implemented in standard IEEE 33 bus radial distribution system to check the effectiveness of the proposed method. Abstract

Optimal sizing and sitting of Capacitor alone and various combinations of Capacitor with Distributed Generations (DG) units have been done by Cuckoo Search Algorithm (CSA) with the goal of minimization of overall cost.
