Abstract

The concept of optimal reactive power supply is introduced. The value of optimal reactive power supply is derived from a two buses model. An optimal reactive power control strategy called reactive power optimization oriented slack control (RPOOSC) is put forward. Furthermore, an optimal control method using optimal reactive power supply for radial network is proposed as an application of reactive power optimization oriented control (RPOOC). The proposed method uses reactive power load as control variable and reactive power supply as state variable.
