Abstract
Today Infotainment industry is moving towards next generation multi room audio streaming on wireless devices. The critical requirement is to manage time-sensitive audio and video streams over network on heterogeneous devices. The audio synchronization of the Left and Right speakers is critical to create a center image. The existing synchronization mechanism involves complex variable network delay estimation, precise timestamp estimation and heterogeneous devices clock drift which limit the synchronization accuracy. This paper identifies the current bottleneck in existing synchronization mechanism and present an innovative technique to improve device synchronization. This technique provides 98.6% improvement in stereo pair synchronization in wireless environment compare to previous synchronization mechanism.
