Proposal to Diagnose the Factors That Affect Academic Desertion of the Politécnico Empresarial Colombiano through the Lean Six Sigma Methodology

Abstract

This article presents a proposal that will diagnose the factors that affect the academic desertion in the Politécnico Empresarial Colombiano in the city of Popayán through the Lean Six Sigma methodology, as well as the knowledge acquired in the Lean Six Sigma seminar in the Fundación Universitaria de Popayán. Such knowledge will allow to collect, organize, process, analyze and interpret data in order to provide the necessary recommendations to reduce withdrawals from the student community will also contribute to continuous improvement, ie this project will control, document and intervene when causes arise that have caused a disagreement in the academic process. Finally, financial results can be interpreted which will allow a profitability measurement for the growth of the institute and each one of its collaborators.
