Sistem Monitoring Keadaan Ruang Laboratorium Fakultas Komunikasi dan Informatika di Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta

Abstract

Monitoring is an activity undertaken to monitor, oversee, and observe certain things at one place. Laboratoroim Faculty of communication and Informatics (FKI) Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta (UMS) has conducted monitoring with the use of CCTV, CCTV monitoring, however use limited to just the image only. Thus was made a system aimed at monitoring the condition of the Laboratory room of FKI UMS that worked for 24 hours in a day. The system is designed for monitoring the temperature inside the room, smoke indoors as well as movement to detect whether there is activity inside the room, besides monitoring is also done on the light to find out the condition of lighting for determine the condition of the lamps in the room as well as an electric current in these spaces. Users can perform monitoring in real time via android smartphone by using an internet connection, users also get a notification via the android apps smartphones and short message service (SMS). The server that is used in this research is the firebase with features real time database. Based on testing done by mobilising the delivery accuracy of data to the server of 99.33%, while for notification via the android-based applications of 95% accuracy rate while the notification via SMS of 65%.
