Abstract

In this paper, we derive approximate solution of scattering field by three-layered dielectric slab under high frequency condition. To bundle or collect the multiple reflected rays inside the slab into the primary reflected and transmitted rays, high frequency asymptotic approximation technique is used. We call the derived primary rays “collective rays”.
