Abstract

The end goal of any digital display technology is to achieve the level of immersion and quality to make the content "indistinguishable from reality". Since its creation, VividQ has made multiple advancements in the area of computer-generated holography (CGH), with the aim to deploy highly realistic holographic displays in consumer AR devices. Traditionally, CGH has had several challenges to overcome to become a mainstream display technology. Amongst others, these include field of view/eye-box trade-off, optical engine volume and most importantly, the computational complexity of hologram generation.
