Health and safety management system in Latin America: a review from the HSEQ integration

Abstract

A review of the latest research on occupational health and safety management systems was conducted with an emphasis on HSEQ integration. The present article has the particularity of qualitatively analyzing the scientific literature available in the databases Dialnet, Scielo, Redalyc, official web pages and Google Scholar, using as search criteria the following keywords: industrial safety, occupational health, safety and health management systems in the work and integrated management systems. Relevant information related to the proposed objective was obtained, which is presented in three sections: occupational health and safety, occupational health and safety management systems and HSEQ integrated management systems, which help organizations to permanently improve the quality of products and services, to establish and evaluate programs, policy, and objective control. The challenge is the awareness in the sector of small, medium and large companies about the importance of the integrated management system.
