Abstract

LiflX, is a fully integrated Li-Fi CMOS device. It contains 64 emission-reception cells and architectured in a similar way as a memory array with bitlines and wordlines to read and write data via access transistor of each cell. Each row in the array is specific in terms of commutation frequency and each column is specific in terms of wavelength. Individual cells contain one LED for light emission and one photodiode for light reception. Device is fully bi-directional, can reach bandwidth of 26 Gb/s for 64 cells and has high level of data transmission security via frequency hopping.
