Abstract
This paper presents a characterization of users of digital educational resources repositories, within the framework of the Latin American Community of Learning Objects (LACLO). This is an exploratory research, based on a quantitative longitudinal study. It takes as case study the community of university teachers that had participated in the Learning Object Contest developed in the LACLO Conference in its 2012, 2013 and 2014 editions. Results show that 283 individuals had participated in LACLO's Learning Objects Contest during the period reviewed, coming from 49 Higher Education Institutions of 10 countries. They are mostly women, and 25 academic disciplines are identified. From the data collected it is possible to make a projection about a characterization of users of digital educational resources repositories in Latin America. This exploratory study will be improved with future qualitative studies, deepening the knowledge on individual experiences, in order to know the dimensions of the adoption of digital educational resources repositories in the Latin American region.
