Abstract
A procedure for reconstructing a time dependent signal from band-pass spectral information is presented. It is advantageous if the low-pass spectral information is not available. The new algorithm is shown to be very efficient compared to other well-known band-pass reconstruction techniques for which the major part of the signal spectral power is unavailable. The presented technique utilizes the very little spectral power provided by the available band-pass spectrum which has to be measured rather accurately. It has been applied for the reconstruction of a variety of real time signals and should find applications in high-data-rate communication networks and microwave measurements with instrumental limitations.
