Abstract

The paper clarifies how the issue of management is connected with the issue of leadership. From the point of view of management, we include the issue of leadership in the managerial function of leading people. We understand leadership as the use of a selected style of people management by which the commander (manager) influences people, processes, etc. It is necessary to pay due attention to this issue at the moment also because of the training of future officers (cadets). We should start from the premise that the goal is not to prepare leaders but officers who will acquire leadership skills, skills, etc. as part of their studies at the Armed Forces Academy.
