Abstract
We briefly propose a time-domain (TD) asymptotic-numerical solution (TD-ANS) for a transient scattered electric field by a two-dimensional coated cylinder. We assume that a coating medium is thick as compared with the wavelength of a central angular frequency of a pulse wave radiated from an electric line source. The validity of an interpretation method for a response waveform by using the TD-ANS is confirmed by comparing with a reference solution.
