Abstract

With the increasing demand for network bandwidth in human society, solving the problem of nonlinear distortion in optical fibers is becoming increasingly urgent. As one of many methods, Optical Phase Conjugation(OPC) has the advantages of simplicity and deployment in the optical domain, but it also has strict requirements for the symmetry of fiber length and power. This article will study the asymmetric cases of OPC and extend this study to multiple OPCs. Finally, Dispersion Compensating Fiber(DCF) is introduced to mitigate the linear perturbation that OPC cannot compensate for.
