Abstract

This paper proposes an iteration-free phase retrieval method using single-plane near-field amplitude distribution. The proposed method numerically creates a two amplitude groups from a single plane amplitude distribution by linear interpolation. The two amplitude groups are related to virtually defined aperture surface using propagation matrices by the field equivalence principle. The phase distribution on the measurement plane is retrieved using the singular vector of the propagation matrix scaled by the two amplitude groups. By the numerical analysis, we indicate that the near-field phase distribution can be accurately reconstructed by the proposed method with the reconstruction error within 10%.
