Abstract
Continuous health monitoring has become essential for improving people's quality of life, either by medical prescription or personal control. Our objective is to develop a wearable device for real-time monitoring of patients breathing patterns and heart rate while performing physical exercise at high-intensity intervals; the wearable device incorporates vital signs sensors to register and display their data in a mobile application, to help users track their health and at the same time receive alerts if the signals exceed their normal range.
