Abstract

Packet radio systems with random multiple access where the geometry of the scenario determines the presence of a maximum of two simultaneous transmitters, are analysed. Packet capture probability is evaluated in order to investigate the possible improvements of the random transmission power strategy first proposed by Lee (1987).
