Abstract

Present trend in consumer electronic industry to constantly increase number of features, change hardware platforms introduces a gigantic challenge for software designers - to make a new software design in extremely short time period, supported by time efficient and appropriate testing and verification of such system design. Additionally, the designed system must be efficiently ported to several platforms and functionally verified with minimal effort. To address this problem we propose a software architecture that facilitates product development process; the proposed system (architecture) is evaluated on a Software Stack for Hybrid broadcast broadband Television (HbbTV) compliant device.
