Abstract
Due to migration of humans to urban zones, the urban growing has accelerated. Along with this, the consumption of fossil fuels and energy has increased 18%. Therefore, the sustainable urbanism is proposed as a response for the current problems (social, economic, ecological, among others). The purpose of this paper is the research of sustainable technologies that can maximize the use of renewable resources in residential areas, such as rainwater and sunlight. The subjects studied are water collecting roofs, green walls and solar technologies. It was found that the collecting of clean water is optima with this type of roofs, green walls can reduce linearly the temperature in 7 °C and the instantaneous efficiency of solar heaters is about 89%.
