Increased utilization and improved safety of transmission grid operation

Abstract

In the recent years, ELES, the Slovenian transmission system operator, in cooperation with, implemented a system for real-time and short-term forecast assessment of operating limits, named SUMO. The system's aim is to improve reliability and safety of network operating, especially in cases of increased power flows through the existing transmission system infrastructure.
