Abstract

India is a developing country in numerous aspects principally in the field of technology. According to CBS 2002, our country has 37.5% covered by hilly and mountainous region. Travelling in hilly areas is quite challenging. The peril due to up-hilling and down-hilling may lead to serious consequences with increased death and accident rates. Though many experienced drivers make their way through these hilly regions, there is an increase in accident rates due to the environmental factors. It is an extremely strenuous task for drivers to travel in hilly areas especially at the hair-pin curves which could also prove to be fatal at the times of alarming natural calamities.
