Abstract

The frequency range for structural dynamics and vibration is first discussed. Nonlinear dynamics for large deflections of a sandwich plate is then reviewed. Finally, large deflections of a sandwich plate with two thin piezoelectric PVDF face layers are treated, and governing equations of motion are derived.
