A fast fractal image coding technique

Abstract

Fractal coding is a very promising technique for image compression. However, it has not been widely used because of its long encoding time and high computational complexity. This paper presents a fast fractal image coding technique and its algorithm. Experimental results show that the proposed method is both effective and efficient.
