Abstract
Objective — to study of intrauterine surgical correction of cardiac malformations. The problem of intrauterine heart surgery is considered. At the present stage of medicine development, it has become possible to carry out first-stage correction of severe congenital heart defects just in the uterine period. These conditions include critical aortic stenosis and developing hypoplastic left heart syndrome; pulmonary atresia or critical pulmonary stenosis in a fetus with intact interventricular septum and developing hypoplastic right ventricle syndrome; hypoplastic left heart syndrome with intact atrial septum or restrictive atrial septal defect. In these cases, it is possible to use intrauterine balloon valvuloplasty and atrial septostomy. These interventions used during pregnancy can have a positive impact on both the further development of the fetal heart and the results of subsequent surgical interventions.
