It is also the platform for the monitoring and reporting of the Commission’s activities regarding gender equality and contributes to the policy follow-up. The group meets twice a year. The Gender Equality Unit serves as its secretariat. The members of the group liaise with the Gender Equality Unit within the framework of the annual report on equality between women and men, published on a yearly basis by the Commission.
