Abstract

Abstract Sperm concentration and extenders will be discussed in this chapter, along with several related procedures. The microscope is one of the most important instruments in the andrology laboratory. It is used to initially assess the ejaculate for suitability for eventual use in AI. The types of microscopes typically found in the andrology laboratory, and their use for evaluation of sperm motility and morphology, will also be discussed.
