Abstract
The relevance of natural and cultural heritage preservation in their interaction seems indisputable at first glance. However, at the management level this topic often becomes a stumbling block, which is quite clearly seen in Russian World Heritage sites. This problem is permanently discussed at the international level, and international methodological tools are actively supplemented by new developments on the integrity and interdependence of the natural and cultural components of the heritage.
