Abstract

In this paper, we explore the use of the Simon Cipher 4-block key expansion as the basis for an unkeyed hash function that is target toward RFID and IoT applications. A modified Simon Cipher key expansion is used to create a construction that can be implemented to operate independently from, or concurrently when the Simon Cipher is used as an encryption engine.
