Abstract

The continuity of electrical energy supply is a constant concern for both the consumers of energy and power utilities. Thus, the power utilities have pursuing ways to delivery improvements to the system to ensure higher reliability without significant increases to operating costs. Given these statements and the regulatory aspects of the Brazilian Electric System, this paper presents a proposal to redefine the boundaries of performance DEC and FEC (equivalents to indexes SAIDI and SAIFI).
