Abstract
This paper presents the Sensorless Position Control of a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Machine as used at the Steered Wheel Side of the Steer-by-Wire system in an automotive vehicle. A Pulsating High-Frequency Injection with a Search-Based Observer is used for sensorless estimation and control of the machine position and speed.
