Abstract

A multi-band 12-port antenna array based on orthogonal layout operating in LTE band 42 / 43 / 46 for fifth-generation MIMO applications in mobile phone is presented. The proposed antenna consists of T-shaped dual mode slot antenna and coupled feed antenna. Compact size and good isolation performance are obtained duo to the orthogonal layout of the two different antennas type. Simulation result shows that proposed array achieves a return loss of better than −6 dB and an acceptable isolation of less than −12.5 dB in the operating band. Besides, good radiation patterns are obtained where desirable antenna efficiencies is better than 50%.
