Subsequently, software module development process is elaborated. Finally, the good result demonstrates that the proposed approach possesses considerable suitability and applicability. The research depicted in this thesis provides a software platform solution, which brings the technology of RS-Fathoming into practical applications. Abstract

Water depth mapping plays an important role in water conservancy, shipping, offshore project and so on. This paper considers a high-resolution IKONOS satellite image as the research object, bases on double-band ratio method, accomplishes shallow sea depth remote sensing module on ENVI(The Environment for Visualizing Images) software platform.
