This paper considers a high-resolution IKONOS satellite image as the research object, bases on double-band ratio method, accomplishes shallow sea depth remote sensing module on ENVI(The Environment for Visualizing Images) software platform. The paper is organized as follows: Firstly, it introduces the characteristic of IDL (Interactive Data Language) and ENVI which is professional software for remote sensing, and also discusses the approaches to expansion and customization. Subsequently, software module development process is elaborated. Finally, the good result demonstrates that the proposed approach possesses considerable suitability and applicability. The research depicted in this thesis provides a software platform solution, which brings the technology of RS-Fathoming into practical applications.
