Abstract
The study considered the degree of reduction in the efficiency parameters of a parabolic reflector caused by free vibrations. Estimates of the research results for various types of amplitude functions are given. It was discovered that the most negative reduction in efficiency is caused by low frequency oscillations. This leads to strong changes in the distribution of surface currents and the strength of the electromagnetic field at the focus of the reflector. It has also been found that the properties of an oscillating reflector change to a lesser extent if the amplitude function is characterized by a high density of nodes and antinodes.
