Abstract
This paper gave a design guide of the direct matrix converter (DMC) open circuit fault diagnosis methods in industrial applications. Two fault diagnosis methods are presented in this paper. One fault diagnosis method is for a DMC using a space vector modulation (SVM) strategy. The other fault diagnosis method is for a DMC using a finite-control-set model-predictive-control (FCS- MPC) strategy.
