A Survey of the EIGRP Standard and Following Open-Source Implementations

Abstract

This paper surveys all currently available open-source EIGRP implementations and provides an overview of the EIGRP protocol itself as defined in its open specification released in RFC 7868. The reader will also become acquainted with the architecture and history of Quagga routing suite and its fork., FRR. Features and the state of all the current open-source EIGRP implementations are compared to each other and the RFC. Emphasis is placed on Quagga one developed on Department of InfoCom Networks., University of Žilina.
