Abstract

The postoperative course is strictly associated with the efficacy of immunological mechanisms. The main cell mechanism of non-specific immunity which takes part in elimination of infectious is phagocytosis, where neutrophils are the most important. Neutrophils are the first line of organisms' defense. Disturbances of non-specific cell immunity mechanisms after surgery procedure are the main reasons for postoperative complications in humans and animals. So, the proper monitoring of immunity parameters after operations is very important. It is useful to determine homeosthazy disturbances which facilitates prompt institution of therapeutic management.
