Journalism is one profession that has undergone particularly profound changes. The new technologies have been used intensively in the various aspects of journalistic work and these technologies have imposed their characteristics on the medium in terms of speed, mobility, flexibility, and interactivity. This study is a descriptive and critical approach that will analyze the impact of the changes and the challenges facing journalism. It will also deal with the requirements of the new situation, which need revision of the concepts and thoughts that have dominated this field so far. This study indicates the necessity of reconsidering new journalism and audience concepts, new legislation and laws to rule journalism and its ethical codes.
