FEATURES OF SOCIO-ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OF THE EAEU COUNTRIES

Abstract

The work is devoted to the assessment of the features of the socio-economic development of the countries that are members of the EAEU. The purpose of the work: to describe the current socio-economic situation in the EAEU countries, taking into account its dynamics and the impact of recent events related to restrictive measures to combat the pandemic, as well as to conduct a comparative analysis of the living standard of the population and the main indicators of the labor market. To do this, indicators of socio-economic development were first identified, according to which the features of the socio-economic development of countries were assessed. Then there were assessed the current level of socio-economic development of countries and its dynamics, as well as individual cross-country comparisons were considered. There are some shortcomings in the completeness of statistical data on the socio-economic development of the EAEU countries, which do not allow the cross-country comparisons. First of all, this concerns differences in the methodology for assessing the level of poverty. As a result of the comparison, the leading countries and outsider countries according to socio-economic development were identified.
