Different arc quenching technologies are described. Abstract

This paper is connected with research of interruption processes in SF6 gas-insulated switchgear with increased breaking performance for rated 1600 A rated bus — transfer current switching test at different operating voltage levels. A special attention was derived to investigation of current breaking process duration at performed tests. The paper describes aspects of high current interruption with experimental results processing.
