Abstract

Mathematical model of small scale HPP was developed for simulation of HPP electricity production in market conditions. Paper also presents approach for evaluation of power supply reservation possibility in distribution network using small scale HPP that operates in liberalized market conditions. Proposed approach allows evaluate theoretical possibility of HPP to improve reliability of power supply of distribution network in case of HV substation outage. Calculations for example with real HPP and distribution network were performed using proposed approach.
