The FMCW waveforms have inherent range-gating capability and are sensitive to small object displacements. Based on the advantages, we use the traditional direction-of-arrival (DOA) estimation algorithm-multiple signal classification (MUSIC) algorithm to monitor vital signs. The simulated annealing algorithm is applied to solve the raster search problem of MUSIC algorithm and improves its accuracy. Simulation results show that this algorithm is superior to traditional FFT algorithm. Abstract
