Sports Fakes: The Criminal Law and Criminological Aspects in the Light of Art. 207.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation

Abstract

The author explores the problem of sports “fakes” in the criminal law and criminological aspects, examining the issues of qualifying a crime under Article 207.2. Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. He notes different scientific points of view on the composition of the crime, leading to the formation of proposals for improving the criminal law norm and facilitating its enforcement. As a result of criminological analysis, he proposes a classification of “fakes” related to the field of sports.
