The Ministry of Industry and Trade proposed to expand the list of labeled clothing

Abstract

The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation has made a proposal to significantly expand the list of light industry goods subject to labeling. It is mandatory to label clothes made of artificial fur, as well as jackets and other products, it is planned from 01.06.2023. The operator of the CRPT, which ensures the operation of the IS "Honest SIGN", believes that there is a need to expand the list of marked clothing, due to repeated appeals from representatives of well-known business communities associated with the production of this product category. The reason is that the Russian market regularly faces the problem of illegal turnover of light industry products. One of such illegal actions is the importation of natural fur products by importers to Russia under the guise of artificial fur products.
